    Bonnie has all the traits one would expect from a mother. Kind, patient, open-minded and loving, and not to mention hard-working. Which is why her contrasting traits can often put people off. She’s rather eccentric, which, from a child’s point of view would make her fun, but from an adult’s point of view, she may come across as childish and a bit odd. And the fact that she has little reservation revealing her seedy past could cause concern for any stranger who asks the innocent question of “what brings you here?” 
    
    She’s certainly not the brightest crayon in the box- she might have done well in school, but she never really learned how to interact with others. Meaning she doesn’t know how to judge others, nor will she. To her, everyone’s just a child she’d be happy to take care of, even if they’re the big bad boss of a crime syndicate. However, that doesn’t mean she’s always sunshine and smiles- one thing she’s learned since she met her late husband is that she has to be herself. And in all honesty? She’s a bit of a sadist and enjoys riling others up. 

    But it really depends on the person; if they’re proud and easily embarrassed, she will go out of her way to purposefully embarrass them. If they’re overly affectionate and have no concept of personal space, she can actually be quite cold, in a means to control the situation. Her life of crime has caused her to subconsciously always try to have the upper-hand in every situation. She’s learned how to manipulate people and is willing to do so if it’s to her advantage. 
   
    For instance, she often plays on others sympathy to get what she wants. Like after a long day of work, she’ll hop on a crowded bus and will use her pregnancy to get others to give up their seat. That being said, she really dislikes it when people go out of their way to be nice to her when she doesn’t intend them to. For example, if people unnecessarily worry over her because she’s pregnant and insist on doing everything for her, she’ll easily become annoyed and suspicious of them. Regardless, she’s trying her best to change her ways so she can be a respectable mother for her unborn child.

 ▪ History ▪  

TLDR; Bonnie used to be a nurse before she fell in love with a bad boy. She embraced his lifestyle and often got hurt, then they hit a rough patch after they got married. She learned to bake to make them close again, then they started seeing another girl just before she got pregnant and things were going well for all three of them. Their seedy lifestyle eventually caused her husband's death and Bonnie couldn't cope so she ran off to White City to start anew with a baby on the way.

    Bonnabelle Arzt was, unsurprisingly, born into a family of healers and caretakers. It was an unspoken expectation that she too would become a doctor of sorts one day, and was always encouraged to do well in school, alongside her many sisters. Being in a family full of feminine, pink curly-haired girls had caused Bonnabelle to feel as if she didn’t have much of an identity. So rather than being extroverted and amicable like her sisters, she became quiet and reserved. Her withdrawn nature had helped her with her studying habits, so she excelled in school and eventually graduated with honors and began studying nursing in college.

    Her parents expected their daughter to shoot for a more respectable position than just a nurse, but in the end, they were satisfied that she was essentially living up to the family name. As time went on, her withdrawn nature seemed to only get worse. The asocial girl often rejected invitations out and would be teased for not having much of a life. It was at this time she began to wonder why she allowed herself to be pushed along in a career she had no interest in. The building frustration and despair as her graduation date neared caused a change in her. She began looking for ways to relieve her stress and eventually took up smoking, much to everyone’s surprise.

    Her bad habit even caused one of her patients to tease her when he caught her smoking on her break. His arrogant attitude had brought out a side of her she didn’t even know was there. She apologized after snapping at him, however, he just brushed it off and insisted she could repay him with a date. Charmed by his sly demeanor and “bad-boy” appearance, she took him up on his offer. The two hit it off, and with her new friend’s help, Bonnie found the courage to start living for herself.

    Her newfound uninhibited nature quickly spiraled out of control. Her entire image changed- her once mousy and innocent demeanor turned into one that screamed rebellion. Bonnie’s parents were shocked, needless to say, and forbade her from seeing her new boyfriend, Charles, in an attempt to get their little girl back. However, she was an adult and made the decision to stay with him, but at a price. She was cut off from her family. Being naive, she didn’t really see the harm in losing them anyway. 

    Now it was just her and her man, taking on the world. They lived in a shoddy apartment complex just outside a train station and ate take-out nearly every day, but Bonnie couldn’t be happier. She quit her nursing job and was determined to find something more fulfilling, even if she had no idea where to start. While she was job searching, Charlie’s occupation started following him home… Turns out, he had connections with the mafia and was a debt collector. When this information came to light, he was feeling insecure that she might leave him and he promised he wouldn’t let her get involved in his work. Never having thoughts of leaving the man she loved, she simply agreed with whatever he said.

    In actuality, he was wrong. Of course, it wasn’t intentional, but Bonnie ended up getting caught up in gang activity and was severely injured as a result, which unknowingly ended an unexpected pregnancy. Charlie was horrified and thought it would be best to end their relationship then and there. After all, even if he quit the gang life, it would still follow him around, and he didn’t want to hurt her anymore. But Bonnie was desperate to keep him close to her, so she did something unexpected. She asked to join the group as well. He was completely opposed, of course, however, the boss had seen some potential in her insane amount of stamina (as Blisseys are known for their insane amount of HP); it took quite a lot to bring her down, and he thought they could use that in the future. 

    Her first few months as a debt collector were awkward and often embarrassing- since the last thing people expect to see is a short girly-girl holding them up for cash, but she got the hang of it eventually. In fact, she was perhaps /too/ good, when she hit her peak. With her stamina and determination to prove herself, her tortuous means of getting what they came for became infamous among the underground syndicate. Her sadistic nature was becoming more addictive, even causing her equally devious partner to worry for her well-being.

    Regardless of her mental state, she was still deliriously happy living with her partner, and with their new income, they were able to afford a better home and plenty of nice luxuries. Life was good, and after being together for all this time, they decided to get hitched. It was only a short time after they made this decision that she found out she was expecting once again, so it was all the more reason to get married. The lovey-dovey couple had a simple wedding- just the basic ceremony in City Hall, but it was all she could ever ask for. Bonnabelle Arzt was dead and Bonnie Foley took her place.

    Marital life wasn’t too different from their previous situation, but with a baby on the way, Charlie insisted that they quit their shady way of life and find something more respectable. Bonnie was opposed to the idea; she enjoyed the power she felt in her position and didn’t think that what they were doing was even all that bad. After all, it was the borrower’s fault for not returning their money, and if they didn’t want their bodies to be broken and bruised, then they shouldn’t have borrowed from the mafia in the first place. The tiff left the newlyweds in a bit of a standoff. Bonnie decided she wanted to go to work to destress, however, her reckless sulking ended up with her getting jumped.

    The incident caused her to lose yet another baby, which she sincerely regretted. The two grieved over the loss, and once she was released from the hospital, they quietly left the crime world. Of course, no one ever completely leaves that kind of work. It followed them around, often tempting them to return to the underbelly. And with little to no working experience in the real world with their bills piling up, they eventually returned with reservations.

    Both had taken quieter positions, letting others do the dirty work while they manned business fronts used for money laundering. Neither had really talked about what had occurred and it felt as if they were drifting apart. Bonnie was devastated, but what could she do? Life was difficult to navigate on your own, especially when you seem to keep making bad decisions. With money slowly trickling in, and their new positions giving them plenty of free time, she decided to pick up a new hobby, in hopes of mending their torn relationship.

    Baking is what she decided to go with, and she was horrid at it at first, much to her husband’s amusement. He was recruited to help her get better, and the domestic activity actually did help the two rekindle their feelings for each other. Soon, they were back to their old habits- minus the take-out now that Bonnie insisted on learning how to cook. She was definitely more of a baker, though. With her newfound love, she decided to take it as a serious career choice and began taking cooking classes at the local college.

    As their home was filled with warmth once again, they became more open towards each other and started trying new things. The most obvious one being that they invited someone else into their relationship. After speaking to someone they met through work, they met someone they liked. Both spouses were open to the idea, and their new little girlfriend, Sheryl, enjoyed all the attention as well. The trio were really happy and living in domestic bliss for some time until Bonnie found out she was expecting once again- this one she was utterly determined to keep. Both her husband and girlfriend were excited at the news and insisted that she left work to become a homemaker.

    Not wanting to repeat her previous mistakes, she listened to them this time around. However, with the loss of income, Charlie had to work longer hours and was home less often than any one of them would have liked. Still, they made it work out; Bonnie was rarely lonely with Sherry caring for her during the day and Charlie at night. That is until tragedy struck. Just as she finished her first trimester, Charles was shot and killed on the job. Their coworkers sent their condolences and offered her some money for compensation, but that wouldn’t bring him back to her. The sudden loss had caused her to cut all ties, including ending the relationship she had with Sherry. 

    Now widowed with little money, nowhere to go and a baby on the way, she decided to pack up and leave the city for good.

    She arrived in town with very little; her first few weeks were spent at a women’s shelter as she searched for work, however, very few places were willing to hire a pregnant woman. Bonnie was down on her luck until she found an open position at a local bakery. She refused to take no for an answer and practically bullied the poor manager into giving her a job. After scrimping and saving for some time, she had enough to give herself a permanent living situation. 

    With a home to call her own, she’s starting to get back on her feet and is often seen with a serene smile on her face. Of course, she’s still grieving over what she’d lost, but she’s choosing not to dwell on it, and is focusing on what she has to gain instead, like the little life growing in her belly. “We’re going to be okay.”

• Often wears an apron to cover up her belly since she can't really afford to get maternity clothes right now. Not to mention she's a baker, so it's not like it's all that odd. 
  
• Doesn't know the sex of her baby and doesn't want to find out until she has it (Meaning I'm willing to let other people influence what the baby might be like when he/she arrives through RP or headcanons) 
  
• She has a lot of houseplants, but they're often on the brink of death since she's rather forgetful/scatterbrained.

• She's always baking and perfecting her trade, even in her spare time, so don't be surprised when she offers you sweets at random.
• Her specialty is a cream puff that's shaped like an egg (a play off of the pokedex entry "Anyone who takes even one bite of Blissey's egg becomes unfailingly caring and pleasant to everyone." Of course, it doesn't have any magical properties or is laced with drugs, it just tastes really good.)
• Knows her way around a rolling pin- don't try anything funny because she can and WILL defend herself.
• She's obviously the mom friend; she carries EVERYTHING useful in her bag, even stuff she doesn't need or use, just in case someone else might need it.
• She won't admit this, but she's extremely lonely living on her own and not having anyone she knows around. So more often than not, she gets attached to others fairly easily and can become a bit clingy.
• Loves to give people stupid nicknames just to see what she can get away with.
